	•	Photos you take of your plants for diagnosis
	•	Plant care data you enter (plant names, notes, schedules)
	•	Account information if you sign in with Apple ID
	•	Usage analytics to improve our service
	•	Subscription and purchase information through Apple

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:
	•	Provide AI-powered plant diagnosis and care recommendations
	•	Sync your plant data across your devices (if signed in)
	•	Process subscription payments and manage your account
	•	Improve our AI models and app functionality
	•	Send you important service updates and notifications

3. Information Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your personal information to third parties except as described in this policy. We may share anonymized, aggregated data for research and improvement purposes. Plant photos are processed by our AI service providers under strict data protection agreements.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely using industry-standard encryption. Plant photos are processed for diagnosis and then deleted from our servers unless you choose to save them to your plant profiles. Local data is stored on your device and synced through Apple’s CloudKit when signed in.

5. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:
	•	Supabase for backend services and data storage
	•	OpenAI for AI-powered plant diagnosis
	•	RevenueCat for subscription management
	•	Apple CloudKit for data synchronization
	•	PostHog for analytics

6. Your Rights and Choices

You have the right to:
	•	Access, update, or delete your personal information
	•	Opt out of analytics collection
	•	Request data portability
	•	Cancel your subscription at any time

7. Children’s Privacy

Warning: Our service is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected such information, please contact us immediately.

8. International Users

PlantMD is operated from Norway. If you are accessing the service from outside Norway, you consent to the transfer of your information to Norway for processing and storage.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of any material changes through the app or via email. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new policy.
