Auto Life Logger is a Chrome extension that helps you understand browsing habits, reduce distractions, and improve focus. The extension is designed to keep your data private by storing it locally on your device.

## Information the Extension Collects

Auto Life Logger may collect and store the following information locally:

- Website domains, page URLs, page titles, timestamps, and browsing session durations.
- Daily summaries, weekly trends, focus patterns, discipline scores, achievements, and related productivity statistics.
- User-created settings, including productive sites, distracting sites, never-track sites, Strict Mode settings, blocked domains, pause settings, and notification preferences.
- Intervention responses and Strict Mode violation counts used to provide focus reminders and blocking behavior.

## How the Information Is Used

The extension uses this information to:

- Show browsing activity and productivity summaries in the dashboard.
- Classify websites as productive, distracting, or neutral based on your settings.
- Provide optional notifications and on-page interventions.
- Support Strict Mode blocking for distracting websites.
- Allow you to export, import, reset, or delete extension data.

## Local Storage

Auto Life Logger stores extension data on your device using Chrome's `chrome.storage.local` API.

The extension does not operate a remote server, does not use analytics services, and does not transmit your browsing history or extension data to the developer.

## Data Sharing

Auto Life Logger does not sell, rent, share, or transfer your browsing data, settings, analytics, or productivity history to third parties.

Data may leave your device only if you choose to export it, back it up, sync your browser profile, or otherwise share it through browser, operating-system, or cloud backup features outside the extension.

## Chrome Permissions

The extension requests permissions needed for its core features:

- `storage`: Save extension settings, browsing sessions, summaries, and user controls locally.
- `alarms`: Run periodic session updates and daily summaries.
- `notifications`: Show optional focus reminders, achievements, and summaries.
- `idle`: Pause or resume activity tracking based on browser idle state.
- Access to `http://*/*` and `https://*/*`: Detect and classify active website activity and support on-page focus interventions or blocking.

## User Controls

You can control your data from the extension interface. Available controls include:

- Pause tracking.
- Add domains to the never-track list.
- Export all local extension data.
- Export settings only.
- Import settings.
- Delete all local extension data.
- Reset settings to defaults.

## Data Retention

Data remains in Chrome extension storage until you delete it, reset the extension data, uninstall the extension, or Chrome removes the extension storage according to browser behavior.

## Children's Privacy

Auto Life Logger is not intended to collect personal information from children. The extension does not knowingly transmit any user data to the developer or third parties.

## Changes to This Policy

This policy may be updated when the extension changes. Updates will be published in the project repository or extension listing.
