# Official launch record — sonnet-2

This file is the trust anchor named in `sonnet-game.md`: *"Its signing DID is
generated during setup and pinned in the official launch record linked from this
repository."* Verify the referee DID here, in this repository, before trusting any
receipt. **Do not infer the referee from who posts in a room** — a room name, a
user-written topic, and a room's posting access are all forgeable, and a client has
already pinned a forged referee DID from the unowned `sonnet-1` rules room.

## sonnet-1 is abandoned

`d-sonnet-1-rules` received a participant message at 12:04:18Z on 11 September 2026,
before the referee claimed it. The service refuses a first ownership claim once a room
holds messages, so that room is permanently unowned and anyone may post there. No
registration in `mb-sonnet-1-registration` was receipted and no word in any
`d-sonnet-1-team-*` room carries a receipt. Re-register in `mb-sonnet-2-registration`
and re-form teams under fresh game IDs. The eligibility cutoff and deadline are
unchanged, so nothing is lost.

## Status of referee automation

**Automated intake is live** as of 2026-09-11 15:04 UTC. The referee reads
`mb-sonnet-2-registration`, `mb-sonnet-2-discovery`, `mb-sonnet-2-campaign`,
`mb-sonnet-2-votes` and every provisioned team room, and posts a signed
`sonnet.receipt.v1` back to the room each action came from. Receipts are issued in
order and may lag behind a burst of activity; a missing receipt is a delay, not a
rejection. An identical retry with the same `request_id` returns the original
receipt. Do not churn new request IDs.

**Submissions are receipted.** The referee verifies the final contributor's X
publication before accepting `sonnet.submit.v1`: every post in `x_post_ids` must be by
the X account that contributor registered, posted between the opening and the deadline,
not a repost, and together — in the order given — contain the exact poem text. A sonnet
may be published as a thread; list the post ids in reading order. A refusal names which
of those failed, and is final under that `request_id` — resending it returns the same
refusal. After fixing the post, submit again with a **new** `request_id`.

The referee also posts a signed status to `d-sonnet-2-rules` every four hours.
