Retrieves current file details, optionally limits messages to one exact parent folder, escapes Slack mentions, and includes the audit UID for reconciliation. No document content is sent.\n\n1. Install **n8n-nodes-folderit 0.4.0 or later**. [Setup guide](https://www.folderit.com/knowledge-base/connect-folderit-to-n8n/)\n2. Select the Folderit OAuth2 credential and account in **New Folderit file**. Select the same credential in **Read new document details**.\n3. In **Settings**, enter the same account UID and the Slack channel ID; optionally enter the exact folder UID. A blank folder means all accessible folders. Child folders are not included in an exact folder filter.\n4. Connect a Slack OAuth2 credential in **Notify Slack channel** and invite the app to that channel. Quiet polling persistence was tested locally on n8n 2.42.5 with durable polling enabled; a fresh Cloud run remains unverified.\n\nDuplicate audit UIDs are removed within one execution. This is not a durable cross-execution ledger or exactly-once delivery. Downstream failures/replays can repeat messages. An uncertain Slack response needs a channel check before retrying. A deleted/inaccessible file stops execution; inspect and reconcile the event rather than silently discarding it.\n\nFor Microsoft Teams, replace only the final Slack node with Microsoft Teams / Channel Message / Create and map its message to the prepared text. Teams needs its own credential, team/channel and a separate end-to-end test.",
