# Terms of Service

## 1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Hangman Premium (the "App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not download, install, or use the App.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User," "you," or "your") and Hangman Premium ("we," "our," or "us").

## 2. Description of the App

Hangman Premium is a word-guessing puzzle game that includes the following features:

- **Single-player gameplay:** Classic hangman gameplay across multiple difficulty levels and word categories, with letter-by-letter guessing mechanics.
- **Map-based progression:** Travel through themed maps, completing hotspot challenges and collecting rewards.
- **Daily challenges & puzzles:** Complete daily word puzzles for bonus rewards and maintain login streaks.
- **Collection system:** Collect, equip, and showcase cosmetic items including avatars, frames, badges, themes, and titles.
- **Trade marketplace:** List your collected items for sale and purchase items from other players using in-game currency.
- **Museum system:** Create and manage your own museum to display your collection, visit other players' museums.
- **Leaderboard:** Compete with other players on global and weekly leaderboards based on composite scores.
- **Power-ups:** Use hints, letter removers, and combo shields to assist your gameplay.
- **Lives system:** Manage your lives, which regenerate over time or can be refilled through gameplay.
- **Fun mode:** Themed gameplay variations with unique visual experiences (Space, Jungle, Balloon themes).
- **Tutorial system:** Interactive tutorials to learn game mechanics.

## 3. Eligibility

- You must be at least **13 years of age** (or the applicable age of digital consent in your jurisdiction) to use the App independently.
- If you are between 13 and 18 years of age (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction), you must have a parent or legal guardian's permission to use the App and agree to these Terms.
- By using the App, you represent and warrant that you meet the eligibility requirements.

## 4. Account Registration

### 4.1 Account Types

You may access the App through one of the following methods:

- **Guest (Anonymous):** Play without creating an account. A random anonymous identifier is generated to save your progress. Guest accounts have limited cross-device sync capabilities and may lose progress if the app data is cleared.
- **Google Sign-In:** Sign in using your Google account for cloud save, cross-device sync, and leaderboard participation.
- **Email Sign-In:** Sign in using your email address and password.

### 4.2 Account Responsibilities

You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
- All activities that occur under your account.
- Providing accurate and up-to-date account information.
- Immediately notifying us of any unauthorized use of your account.

## 5. Virtual Currency and In-Game Items

### 5.1 Virtual Currency

The App uses in-game virtual currencies and items, including:

- **Coins:** Earned through gameplay, daily rewards, achievements, and ad-watching. Coins are used to purchase in-game items.
- **Experience Points (XP):** Earned through gameplay. XP determines your player level.
- **Hints:** Used to reveal a letter during gameplay. Hints can be earned or purchased with coins.
- **Letter Removers:** Removes incorrect letters from the keyboard. Earned or purchased.
- **Combo Shields:** Protects your win streak. Earned or purchased.
- **Lives:** Consumed when you lose a game. Lives regenerate over time or can be refilled.
- **Collection Items:** Cosmetic items (avatars, frames, badges, themes, titles) that can be collected, equipped, and traded.

### 5.2 No Real-Money Value

All virtual currencies, items, and rewards within the App are for entertainment purposes only and have **no real-world monetary value**. Virtual currencies and items:

- Cannot be exchanged for real money or real goods.
- Cannot be transferred outside of the App.
- Are not refundable.
- May be modified, removed, or reset at our discretion (in cases of abuse, cheating, or technical necessity).

### 5.3 Premium Features

The App may offer premium features or subscriptions, including but not limited to:
- **Ad-free experience:** Remove all advertisements from the App for a specified duration or permanently.
- **Premium unlock:** Access to exclusive themes, items, or features.

Premium purchases, if offered, are processed through the respective app store (Google Play Store or Apple App Store) and are subject to their respective terms and refund policies.

## 6. Advertising

### 6.1 Ad Types

The free version of the App displays advertisements, including:

- **Rewarded Ads:** Optional video advertisements that grant in-game rewards (coins, hints, lives, XP) when watched completely.
- **Interstitial Ads:** Full-screen advertisements that appear between gameplay sessions or during transitions.

### 6.2 Ad-Free Option

Users may remove advertisements through an in-app purchase. Premium/ad-free users will not see ads within the App.

### 6.3 Third-Party Ads

Advertisements are served by Google AdMob, a third-party advertising service. We are not responsible for the content of third-party advertisements. Clicking on advertisements may direct you to third-party websites or applications that are not under our control.

## 7. User Conduct

### 7.1 Prohibited Activities

You agree not to engage in any of the following prohibited activities:

- **Cheating or exploiting:** Using any automated systems, bots, scripts, modified clients, or exploits to gain unfair advantages in gameplay, leaderboards, or the trade system.
- **Account trading or selling:** Transferring, selling, or purchasing user accounts.
- **Real-money trading (RMT):** Buying or selling in-game items, currency, or accounts for real money outside of authorized channels.
- **Harassment or abuse:** Harassing, threatening, or abusing other users through any feature of the App (display names, trade listings, museum names/descriptions, etc.).
- **Inappropriate content:** Creating display names, museum names, trade listings, or any other user-generated content that is offensive, obscene, discriminatory, hateful, sexually explicit, or otherwise inappropriate.
- **Impersonation:** Impersonating any person or entity, including our staff or other users.
- **Reverse engineering:** Attempting to decompile, reverse engineer, disassemble, or derive the source code of the App.
- **Intellectual property infringement:** Uploading or using content that infringes on the intellectual property rights of others.
- **Interference:** Interfering with or disrupting the App, its servers, or its networks.

### 7.2 Enforcement

We reserve the right to take appropriate action against users who violate these Terms, including but not limited to:

- Issuing warnings.
- Temporary suspension of account or specific features.
- Permanent account termination (banning).
- Removal of user-generated content.
- Adjustment or reset of in-game currency, items, or progression.
- Removal from leaderboards.
- Legal action, if warranted.

Moderation decisions are made at our sole discretion. Banned users may not be eligible for refunds.

## 8. Intellectual Property

### 8.1 Our Intellectual Property

The App and all associated content, including but not limited to:

- Game design, mechanics, and logic
- Source code and compiled software
- Graphics, animations, and visual assets
- Sound effects and music
- Text content, including word lists and descriptions
- Names, logos, and branding
- UI/UX design

are owned by or licensed to us and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms.

### 8.2 User-Generated Content

By creating, uploading, or submitting any content through the App (including custom display names, museum names and layouts, trade listings), you:

- Retain ownership of your original content.
- Grant us a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive, sublicensable license to use, reproduce, modify, display, and distribute your content within the App and related services.
- Represent and warrant that your content does not infringe on the rights of any third party.

## 9. Leaderboard and Competitive Play

The App features leaderboards that rank players based on a composite score calculated from gameplay statistics. By participating in online features:

- You agree that your display name, gameplay statistics (level, experience, games played/won, win rate, streaks, coins), equipped cosmetic items, and composite score will be publicly visible on the leaderboard.
- You agree to compete fairly and not use exploits, cheats, or unauthorized third-party software.
- We reserve the right to remove, adjust, or recalculate leaderboard rankings to maintain fair competition.
- Leaderboard data may be cached and may not reflect real-time changes immediately.

## 10. Trade Marketplace Rules

The trade marketplace allows users to list collection items for sale using in-game coins. By using the trade marketplace, you agree to:

- List items at fair prices in in-game coins only.
- Not engage in off-platform trading or real-money transactions.
- Complete trades in good faith.
- Accept that all trades are final and cannot be reversed unless a system error occurs.
- Understand that trade listings have a limited duration after which they expire.

We are not responsible for disputes between traders. However, we may intervene in cases of suspected fraud or Terms violations.

## 11. Museum System Rules

The museum system allows users to create and customize museums to display their collection items. By using the museum system, you agree to:

- Create museums and content that comply with our content guidelines.
- Not use museums to promote external services, products, or websites.
- Accept that museums may be subject to moderation and can be removed if they violate these Terms.
- Understand that creating a museum may cost in-game coins.

## 12. Third-Party Services

The App integrates with the following third-party services:

## 13. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

- IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
- WARRANTIES THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE.
- WARRANTIES THAT DEFECTS WILL BE CORRECTED.
- WARRANTIES REGARDING THE ACCURACY OR RELIABILITY OF ANY INFORMATION PROVIDED THROUGH THE APP.

YOUR USE OF THE APP IS AT YOUR SOLE RISK.

## 14. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

- LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, OR GOODWILL.
- LOSS OF IN-GAME PROGRESS, CURRENCY, OR ITEMS.
- SERVICE INTERRUPTION OR SERVER DOWNTIME.
- COMPUTER OR DEVICE DAMAGE.
- COST OF SUBSTITUTE SERVICES.

ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE APP, WHETHER BASED ON CONTRACT, TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE), STRICT LIABILITY, OR OTHERWISE, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR YOUR USE OF THE APP SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU HAVE PAID TO US (IF ANY) IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

## 15. Offline Play and Data Sync

The App supports offline play with local data storage. When playing offline:

- Your progress is saved locally on your device.
- Leaderboard updates and trade marketplace features are unavailable.
- If you have a cloud-synced account, data conflicts may occur when reconnecting. In such cases, the more recent data typically takes precedence, but we cannot guarantee perfect resolution of all conflicts.
- We are not responsible for loss of local data due to device failure, app uninstallation, or clearing of app data.

## 16. Updates and Modifications

### 16.1 App Updates

We may release updates to the App periodically, which may include:

- Bug fixes and performance improvements
- New features and content
- Balance changes to gameplay mechanics
- Changes to the virtual economy (coin costs, reward amounts, etc.)
- Removal or modification of features

Updates may be required for continued use of the App. We are not obligated to provide any updates or continue support for any particular version of the App.

### 16.2 Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective upon posting within the App. We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of material changes. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the modified Terms.

## 17. Termination

### 17.1 Termination by You

You may terminate your agreement with us at any time by:
- Uninstalling the App from your device.
- Requesting account deletion by contacting us (see Section 19).

Upon termination, you will lose access to your account, including all in-game progress, virtual currency, and items. No refunds will be provided for any purchases made prior to termination.

### 17.2 Termination by Us

We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, with or without cause, including but not limited to:

- Violation of these Terms.
- Extended inactivity.
- Requests by law enforcement or government agencies.
- Discontinuation of the App or service.

## 18. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

### 18.1 Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which we operate, without regard to its conflict of law principles.

### 18.2 Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the App shall first be attempted to be resolved through informal negotiations. If the dispute cannot be resolved informally, it shall be submitted to binding arbitration in accordance with applicable laws, unless otherwise required by your local consumer protection laws.

### 18.3 Class Action Waiver

To the maximum extent permitted by law, you agree to resolve disputes with us on an individual basis and waive any right to participate in a class action, class arbitration, or representative proceeding.

## 20. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect. The invalid or unenforceable provision shall be replaced by a valid and enforceable provision that most closely matches the intent of the original provision.

## 21. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding your use of the App and supersede all prior agreements, understandings, and communications, whether written or oral.
