PhaseWebNote Privacy Policy Last updated: August 2, 2026 The short version: PhaseWebNote collects nothing. Your notes never leave your browser. We have no servers, no accounts, and no analytics. WHAT THE EXTENSION STORES PhaseWebNote saves the following, and only the following: - The notes you create, including their text, color, position, size, minimized state, highlight anchors, and reminder times - Your settings (double-click preference, default color) - Recently deleted notes (trash, so you can restore them) - Pending reminder records WHERE IT IS STORED All of the above is stored in Chrome's own storage systems (chrome.storage.sync and chrome.storage.local) inside your browser. When you are signed into Chrome, Chrome syncs this data across your devices using your Google account, exactly like your bookmarks. This sync is performed entirely by Google Chrome under Google's own privacy policy. The developers of PhaseWebNote never see, receive, or have access to any of it. WHAT THE EXTENSION DOES NOT DO PhaseWebNote does not: - Collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal information or browsing data - Send your notes or page content to any server - Use analytics, telemetry, or tracking of any kind - Use cookies - Run remote code - Show ads PERMISSIONS EXPLAINED - Host access (all websites): required so notes can be drawn on the pages you choose and saved per website. Page content is never read except for text you explicitly select to highlight or clip into a note. - storage: saves your notes and settings (see above). - favicon: displays site icons in the dashboard so you can recognize your notes' sites. - alarms: schedules reminder times. - notifications: shows you the reminder when it comes due. THIRD-PARTY LINKS The extension contains a link to Buy Me a Coffee (buymeacoffee.com), an optional tip page. Visiting it is entirely your choice, and any interaction with that site is governed by its own privacy policy. DATA RETENTION AND DELETION Your data stays in your browser until you delete it. Deleting a note moves it to the trash; emptying the trash removes it permanently. Uninstalling the extension removes all locally stored data, and clearing Chrome's sync data removes the synced copies. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new date. The core promise will not change: no data collection. CONTACT Questions?
