# Reader auto-paging and final answer-check follow-up Status: completed on 2026-09-11. This is a local 1.4.1 development build, not a release. The saved no-GoreGraph run was reused and never rerun. ## Result The third adaptive Codex CLI run reaches all 12 static core criteria and all seven required test identities. Every GoreGraph command succeeds. Its raw runtime is 505.816309 seconds with 79,464 effective tokens across 14 commands. Against the saved 600.300493-second and 165,839-token no-GoreGraph reference, this is 15.74% faster and uses 52.08% fewer effective tokens. This is one frozen-workspace result, not a general performance claim. | Run | Seconds | Effective tokens | Commands | Failed commands | Static result | | --- | ---: | ---: | ---: | ---: | --- | | 1 | 730.252901 | 105,900 | 27 | 9 | diagnostic; reader paging and malformed requests remained | | 2 | 603.905148 | 91,191 | 20 | 1 | mechanically valid; 11/12 because the local multi-family rollback test was incomplete | | 3 | 505.816309 | 79,464 | 14 | 0 | 12/12 and 7/7 required test identities | The third answer includes a concrete failure-injection test with both task and comment families in the starting state, a failure after an earlier deletion and before a later repository deletion, and assertions that the earlier change was rolled back while all later state stayed unchanged. ## Fixes - Find requests automatically reduce their match pages to stay inside the shared interval, line, and 24 KiB output limits. Each reduced selector reports `output_limited` and an explicit cursor. - If a multi-file result still exceeds the output limit, later complete file results are deferred as whole units. Exact ranges are never split. - The CLI accepts one redundant trailing `]}` pair and repairs a backslash before a non-JSON escape character inside a JSON string. Unknown fields, malformed standard escapes, bounds, and read authority remain strictly checked. - The adaptive instruction explicitly requires a failure-injection rollback test when one local transaction writes several repositories or data families. - `answer-check` uses cited line coverage to resolve same-basename candidates only when exactly one candidate covers every cited range. Metadata-only citations or ranges covered by several candidates remain ambiguous. - Outputstore fault-injection tests now compare canonical macOS temporary paths, matching the production path handling on `/var` and `/private/var`. The final checker re-evaluation of the retained third-run answer is valid with 50 checked references, 52 checked ranges, 12 deterministic path repairs, and zero findings. The original workflow record remains unchanged and records the earlier checker result; `confirmed-final-answer-check.json` records the post-fix result. ## Verification and installation The complete `go test ./...` suite, `go vet ./...`, targeted reader/CLI/guide and answer-check tests, `git diff --check`, real failed-request replays, receipt checks, and find pagination checks pass. Verified delivered source contains no repeated rows in the third run. Installed build: - Version: 1.4.1 development - Commit label: `d67d1f4ab3c3-dirty` - Built: 2026-09-11T15:09:29Z - SHA-256: `0723dfdd2bb6a7704fffebb0da3e58745aa902a788f18ddbefe36043b2a8644f` - Paths: `/Users/gorecode/go/bin/goregraph` and `/opt/homebrew/bin/goregraph-local` Candidate, installed binaries, build source hashes, frozen service sources, generated indexes, saved baseline files, and the final answer check all pass the recorded integrity check. The three services and indexes did not change, so no workspace rescan was performed. No service build or test, commit, merge, or release was performed. Artifacts are under `benchmark-0442483-macos/reader-autopage-{1,2,3}-cli` and `benchmark-0442483-macos/reader-autopage-confirmed-final` in the existing private visualization workspace.
