Perseus Multitext, 2026. Review edition.
The 1875 Cornell OCR is the copy text. Historical wording and spelling are retained. Wrapped endings, displaced replies and OCR labels are repaired where supported. The linked audit records repairs and corroborated token substitutions. Unresolved OCR remains in the transcription. The 1850 text is an earlier edition, not an interchangeable repair witness; its pagewise text is preserved in the review. The 1889 copy has many truncated beginnings. This is not a fully proofread edition.
Each l/@n belongs to Donner’s own citation scheme. Numbers are interpolated only where verse counts agree between printed anchors. Unresolved intervals receive explicit editorial suffixes (for example 620u1), not guessed printed numbers. Shared verses retain the same citation with I/F parts. corresp identifies the containing Storr reference card, not exact line-by-line equivalence. Reference-card boundaries were reviewed at speech, stanza and clause openings; nearest complete Donner verse boundaries are used. Further fine alignment remains possible.
Notes are attached only when their printed labels agree in both later OCR copies and resolve to a Donner citation. Note wording and extraction boundaries still require proofreading. Unattributed entries and complete appendix OCR are retained in the review inventory. Notes split across pages are joined, retaining their source-page list. Metrical notation is supplied as facsimiles, not speculative OCR.
Native Donner citations; suffix u explicitly identifies unresolved verse division.
