# Asset Licenses

This repository separates source-code licensing from non-code asset licensing.

## Source Code

Source code is licensed under the Apache License 2.0 unless another license is
stated for a specific file.

## Restricted Assets

Unless explicit written permission is granted, the following assets are not
licensed under the Apache License 2.0:

- Audio files under `Sources/AgentSignalLight/Resources/`, including `.m4a` and
  `.wav` files.
- App icons, logos, generated app icon files, and hero artwork.
- Screenshots, GIFs, demo images, and marketing images under `docs/assets/` and
  `marketing/`.
- The `Agent Signal Bar` product name when used as a product, app, service, or
  release identity.

These assets are owned by XiongYang Guan unless another attribution is stated.
The bundled New Zealand crossing sounds were recorded by XiongYang Guan.

## Allowed Uses

You may use the restricted assets to:

- View and fork this repository on GitHub.
- Run, test, build, package, and demonstrate Agent Signal Bar.
- Redistribute the assets as part of an unmodified Agent Signal Bar release.
- Redistribute the assets as part of a clearly identified fork or source package
  that does not imply official endorsement.
- Refer to Agent Signal Bar by name for attribution, compatibility,
  documentation, reviews, tutorials, or comparison.

## Uses Not Allowed Without Permission

You may not, without prior written permission:

- Extract, redistribute, sell, sublicense, or publish the audio files as
  standalone media, sound packs, samples, stock assets, or downloadable asset
  collections.
- Use the audio files in unrelated apps, websites, videos, advertisements,
  datasets, sample libraries, model-training corpora, or commercial media
  projects.
- Use the app icon, logo, screenshots, GIFs, hero artwork, or marketing images
  to brand or promote a different product.
- Present modified builds, forks, or redistributed packages as official Agent
  Signal Bar releases.
- Register confusingly similar product names, domains, social accounts, or app
  listings using the Agent Signal Bar name or visual identity.

## Forks and Modified Distributions

If you distribute a modified app, use a different app name, icon, logo, and
marketing identity unless you have written permission.

You may keep the bundled audio files only when they are distributed as part of a
clearly attributed Agent Signal Bar fork or source package. If your fork becomes
a distinct product, replace the audio and brand assets.
