# Espionage and agents at scale

friend1: espionage is now at scale, and so are agents. Companies put their intellectual property
into the cloud and into frontier models, and it leaks "for everybody to see".

**Status: open question.** This agrees with the paper's Section 4 (distillation, model extraction,
the 2026 trade-secret dispute), which already cites sources. What is new here is the claim that IP
*given to* cloud services and frontier models leaks to everyone. It needs a documented case before
it enters the book.
