The Extension follows a "local-first" philosophy. This means:
- **No External Data Transmission:** All data fetched from Discord (tokens and message history) is stored strictly on your local device.
- **No Third-Party Access:** We do not send your data to our servers, nor do we share, sell, or transfer it to any third parties.

## 2. Information Handled
To fulfill its purpose, the Extension handles the following types of information:
- **Authentication Information:** The Extension automatically detects your Discord session token to authenticate requests to the Discord API. This token is stored locally in your browser's secure storage.
- **Personal Communications:** The Extension fetches and caches your Discord chat messages (Servers, Threads, and DMs) to allow you to export them. This data is stored strictly in your browser's local storage.

## 3. Data Storage
All data is stored using Chrome's `storage.local` API. This data remains on your machine and is never synced across devices unless you use browser sync features (which we do not explicitly utilize for sensitive data).

## 4. Third-Party Services
The Extension interacts with the Discord API (`discord.com`) to retrieve your data. This interaction is subject to Discord's own Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

## 5. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected by the "Last Updated" date at the bottom of this page.
