This Privacy Policy describes how WIP Tracker ("we", "our", or "the App") handles your information. The App is designed as a tool for knitting and crocheting enthusiasts to track their projects.

WIP Tracker is designed with privacy in mind. Most of your data is stored locally on your device.

Project Data: Information about your knitting/crochet projects, including titles, notes, and progress, is stored locally on your Android device. We do not have access to this data unless you explicitly export it.

Media/Photos: The app allows you to attach photos to your projects. These remain on your device.
•
Backup & Export: The App includes a feature to export your data to a ZIP file for backup purposes. This process is handled locally via the Android Storage Access Framework. We do not host or store these backups on any external servers.

In-App Purchases: We use Google Play Billing to handle subscriptions or purchases. We do not collect or store your credit card details or personal financial information; this is handled entirely by Google Play.
2. Permissions
To provide its services, the App may request the following permissions:

Storage/Media Access: To allow you to import/export backups and attach photos to your projects.
•
Internet Access: Required for processing in-app purchases through Google Play and for potential basic crash reporting (if enabled).
3. Compliance with GDPR (European Union)
If you are a resident of the European Economic Area (EEA), you have specific data protection rights.

Data Controller: Since all data is stored locally on your device, you are the primary controller of your project data.

Right to Deletion: You can delete all your data at any time by uninstalling the App or clearing the App's storage in your Android settings.

No Third-Party Sharing: We do not sell, trade, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.
4. Compliance with CCPA/CPRA (California, USA)
If you are a California resident, you have the right to:

Know what data is collected: As stated, we collect minimal data required for app functionality and billing.

We prioritize the security of your data. However, since the data is stored on your device, the security of your information also depends on the security of your mobile device (e.g., screen locks, encryption).

Our App does not knowingly collect any personally identifiable information from children under the age of 13 (or 16 in the EU). If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal data, please contact us.
