# Third-party provenance

The upstream YAML and generated competition metadata derive from
[faridrashidi/kaggle-solutions](https://github.com/faridrashidi/kaggle-solutions),
Copyright (c) 2018-2026 Farid Rashidi, MIT. The exact license accompanies the
snapshot at `skills/kaggle-solutions-skills/assets/knowledge/UPSTREAM-LICENSE.txt`.
The upstream commit and file hashes are in the adjacent `manifest.json`.

Solution links point to independently authored posts, code and artifacts. Their
licenses and competition rules remain their own. This project's MIT license does
not relicense those materials. Raw retrieved articles and third-party code are
kept in ignored local cache/source folders and are not in the distributed skill.
Maintained cards contain original paraphrases, URLs, evidence locations and
retrieval hashes. The Santa author repository has no declared license; only its
documented search strategy was paraphrased.

Skill design references and pinned versions are listed in
`skills/kaggle-solutions-skills/assets/knowledge/sources.json` and explained in
`references/source-acquisition.md` inside the skill. Their commands and concepts
were reviewed; this project does not vendor those skills or require them for
offline retrieval. The scripts and instruction text here are original to this
project. This is an independent project, not an official Kaggle product.
