Problem

Connection Error When Syncing Data

Users receive a "Connection Error (Code 503)" message when attempting to sync data between the mobile app and web dashboard. The sync process stops abruptly and changes made on one platform don't appear on the other.

Cause

This error typically occurs due to one of three issues:

  • Poor or unstable internet connection
  • Server maintenance or temporary outage
  • Outdated app version with compatibility issues

Solution

  1. 1

    Check your internet connection

Ensure you have a stable internet connection. Try connecting to a different network (switch between Wi-Fi and cellular data) or move to an area with better signal strength. You can test your connection by opening a website or another online service.

  2. 2

    Verify service status

Check our Service Status Page to see if there are any ongoing issues or maintenance. If there's a known outage, you'll need to wait until it's resolved before attempting to sync again.

  3. 3

    Update your app

Make sure you're using the latest version of our app. Outdated versions may have compatibility issues with our current server infrastructure.

    • For iOS: Open the App Store, go to your profile, and check for updates
    • For Android: Open the Google Play Store, tap your profile icon, then "Manage apps & device" to see available updates
  4. 4

    Force restart the app

Close the app completely and restart it. On most devices, this means swiping up from the bottom of the screen to access the app switcher, then swiping the app away to close it. Then reopen the app and attempt to sync again.

Note: If you're using a VPN, try temporarily disabling it as some VPN services can interfere with our sync servers. After syncing is complete, you can enable your VPN again.
