More progress in providing a choice to access course materials either inside and outside of an LMS. For students who do not have other courses on the university LMS they can choose to visit the multi-device friendly @getgrav Open Course Hub (which links to needed LMS elements).๐Ÿ‘‡ pic.twitter.com/y0fGM6G6x3

However, for students with one or more other courses on the university LMS (in this case #CanvasLMS) they can choose to visit the Canvas course site, where all the materials from the Open Course Hub are seamlessly embedded and brought to where they spend more of their time.๐Ÿ‘‡ pic.twitter.com/vSY842yfv2

How will students respond to this approach? I hope to find out this September, and then based on their input further improve their online course experience (and share here of course)๐Ÿš€

Oh, and here is the current prototype of the planned #SFU CMPT-363 Open Course Hub:https://t.co/RidBgwfabd

Let's say you use #CanvasLMS but want more freedom with content displayed within Modules. With @getgrav Open Course Hub you can choose to embed the content of any page along, with several options to make embedding truly seamless. For example, here is an example Course Hub page๐Ÿ‘‡ pic.twitter.com/ixEvtjZlTu

Using the External URL feature in Canvas, you can enter the URL of a Grav Course Hub page, along with several URL parameters. These parameters provide options for displaying the page, for example 'embedded:true' and 'hideheaderimage:true' to optimize page display within Canvas๐Ÿ‘‡ pic.twitter.com/SA8jnuwJP7

And remember, you can also choose to use the Git Sync Plugin to provide automatic two-way sync of your embedded Grav Course Hub content within #CanvasLMS to an open Git repository (i.e. GitHub, GitLab, Gitea etc) to support the 5Rs of #OER and collaboration with version control๐Ÿ‘‡ pic.twitter.com/ZiNRaLQ874

It's a good time to mention the Grav Open Course Hub project is intended for tech-savvy educators๐Ÿš€
