2025 年 7 月 15 日，世界排名第一的高爾夫球好手 [Scottie Scheffler](https://www.google.com/search?q=Scottie+Scheffler)，在 [記者會](https://youtu.be/hUOrPqv0eU0?t=5m7s) 上被問到：「你怎麼定義成功的一年？會在年初就寫下目標嗎？」

> 其實每年都差不多，我不太去看輸贏。我不會在年初坐下來說：今年要拿幾個大滿貫、贏幾個巡迴賽冠軍。那不是我會做的事，對我來說也不管用。我有一些不斷努力追求的夢想和渴望。但到頭來，我只想活在當下，我只想每天都認真練習。
>
> It doesn’t really change year by year. I don’t look at wins and losses or stuff like that. I don’t sit down at the beginning of the year and say I want to win X number of times; I want to win this many majors; I want to win this many tournament events. That’s not something I do. That’s not something that works for me. I have some dreams and aspirations that I’m always striving towards, but at the end of the day, I try to stay present. I try to practice hard each and every day.

> It feels like you work your whole life to celebrate winning a tournament for like a few minutes. It only lasts a few minutes, that kind of euphoric feeling…And then it’s like, **what are we going to eat for dinner?**

> 這不是一個充實的人生。以成就感來說它是充實的，但以內心最深處來說，它並不充實。很多人以爲抵達目標後會讓自己滿足，然後你終於到了、成了世界第一，你開始想：**這到底有什麼意義？**
>
> This is not a fulfilling life. It’s fulfilling from the sense of accomplishment, but it’s not fulfilling from the sense of the deepest places of your heart. There’s a lot of people that make it to what they thought was going to fulfill them in life and then you get there and all of a sudden you get to No. 1 in the world, and you’re like, **what’s the point?**

他接著說：

> 我像個怪咖，喜歡付出努力、喜歡練習、喜歡實現夢想……我喜歡當爸爸、照顧我兒子……**比起偉大的高爾夫球選手，我更想當一名偉大的父親**。
>
> I’m kind of a sicko. I love putting in the work. I love being able to practice. I love getting to live out my dreams…I love being a father. I love being able to take care of my son…**I would much rather be a great father than I would be a great golfer.**

訪談結束後幾天，Scottie 以 4 桿優勢稱霸英國公開賽。
