# Things I Learned This Week

* [**Calvin and Hobbes**](https://www.google.com/search?q=Calvin+and+Hobbes), created by [Bill Watterson](https://www.google.com/search?q=Bill+Watterson) and published from 1985 to 1995, is a seminal American comic strip that follows Calvin, an imaginative six-year-old, and his stuffed tiger Hobbes, who comes to life through Calvin’s eyes.
* [White Knighting](https://www.google.com/search?q=White+Knighting) (白騎士症候群) is a term used to describe a behavior where someone (often a man) intervenes in a situation to defend or rescue another person (often a woman), who may not need or want help. The motivation can be genuine concern, but it is sometimes driven by a desire for validation, ego, or to be seen as heroic.
