npj refiner is a Chrome extension that enhances the reading experience on Springer Nature journal websites by improving image quality, mathematical equation rendering, and automatically expanding tables.

## What the Extension Does
The extension operates entirely within your browser and:
- Modifies image URLs to display high-resolution versions
- Configures MathJax rendering settings (stored locally in browser cookies)
- Fetches table content from the same Nature website you're viewing to display it inline
- Makes no external network requests to any third-party servers
- Does not track your browsing activity
- Does not collect personal information
- Does not use analytics or telemetry

## Permissions
The extension requires host permissions for `*.nature.com` and `*.springernature.com` domains to:
- Access and enhance images on Nature journal pages
- Configure mathematical equation rendering
- Fetch and display full tables inline

These permissions are used solely for the extension's stated purpose and do not enable data collection.
