# Privacy Policy for Codex Resets Tracker **Effective date:** September 18, 2026 Codex Resets Tracker ("the App", "we", "us") is developed by Root Studio. This Privacy Policy explains what information the App collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. The App tracks and displays publicly announced Codex usage-limit reset events; it does not require you to create an account. If you have questions about this policy, contact us at **codex-resets@icodesign.me**. ## Summary - No account or sign-in is required to use the App. - We do not collect your name, email address, contacts, photos, precise location, or any payment information. - We do not use advertising SDKs and we do not sell or share your information with third parties for advertising purposes. - The only information sent off your device is (a) an anonymous installation identifier and your notification preferences, if and only if you turn on push notifications, and (b) anonymous, aggregated app-performance metrics. ## Information We Collect ### Information you choose to provide If you tap "Send Feedback" in Settings, the App opens your device's own Mail app with our support address (codex-resets@icodesign.me) and a subject line pre-filled with the App's version, build number, and platform (e.g. "iOS 1.0.0 (12)"). Nothing is sent automatically — the message is only sent if you write it and press Send in your own Mail app, and only the content you choose to include is transmitted, directly from your device to our inbox. We use this solely to respond to your feedback or support request, and retain it only as long as needed to do so. ### Information collected automatically for push notifications (optional) Push notifications are off by default. If you turn them on in Settings, the App creates a random installation identifier (a UUID) and a separate secret key. The secret is stored only in your device's secure keychain (iOS Keychain / Android Keystore), marked "this device only" so it is never included in device or iCloud/Google backups. To deliver notifications, the App sends the following to our push notification server: - The random installation identifier (not tied to your name or account) - Your device platform (iOS/Android), app version, and build number - Your device's language/locale setting - The Android notification channel identifier (Android only) - Your notification preferences (e.g. which reset types and predictions you want to be notified about) - Your Expo push token, which is required to route notifications to your device This data is used only to deliver the notifications you asked for and to maintain your subscription preferences. If you turn notifications off, we stop sending new push messages and the installation entry is no longer actively used. Turning notifications off, or uninstalling the App, removes the on-device identifier that links your device to this data. If you would like us to delete a specific installation record on our server before then, contact us with the request. We do not use Apple's or Google's advertising identifiers, and the App does not use App Tracking Transparency because it does not track you across other companies' apps or websites. ### Diagnostic and performance data The App uses EAS Observe (a service provided by Expo/650 Industries, Inc.) to measure basic app-performance metrics, such as how long screens take to load and become interactive. These metrics are tagged by screen/route name, not by your identity, and are used only to help us find and fix performance issues. This data is governed by Expo's own privacy policy, available at . The App also uses Expo EAS Update to deliver over-the-air app updates, which involves your device contacting Expo's update service and is likewise covered by Expo's privacy policy. ### Information stored only on your device The App stores reset-history data and your preferences locally in an encrypted on-device database (SQLite with SQLCipher encryption) and standard app storage. This local data is not transmitted to us and is deleted when you uninstall the App. ### Information we do not collect We do not collect your name, email address (unless you email us), phone number, precise or approximate location, contacts, photos, microphone or camera data, health data, or financial/payment information. The App has no login or account system. ## How We Use Information We use the information described above only to: - Deliver push notifications you have opted into - Diagnose and improve app performance and reliability - Respond to feedback or support requests you send us - Provide app updates We do not use your information for advertising, and we do not build advertising or tracking profiles. ## Sharing of Information We do not sell your information. We share information only with the service providers that help us operate the App: - **Expo / 650 Industries, Inc.** — app updates (EAS Update) and performance diagnostics (EAS Observe). See . - **Our push notification server** — operated by us, used solely to deliver the notifications described above. We may also disclose information if required to do so by law, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of our users or the public. ## Data Security We apply reasonable technical measures to protect information, including transmitting data over HTTPS, storing local app data in an encrypted database, and storing the push-notification secret in your device's secure keychain rather than app storage. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information appropriately. ## Your Choices - **Notifications:** Turn push notifications on or off at any time in the App's Settings, or in your device's system notification settings. - **Deletion:** Uninstalling the App removes all locally stored data and the on-device identifier used for push notifications. To request deletion of any related data retained on our server, email us at codex-resets@icodesign.me. - **Access/correction:** Because the App does not maintain user accounts or profiles, most of your data lives only on your device, where you already have full access through the App itself. If you are located in the EEA, UK, or other regions with data protection laws, you may have additional rights (such as access, correction, deletion, or restriction of processing) over any data described in this policy; contact us to exercise them. ## Children's Privacy The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it. ## International Data Transfers Our service providers (e.g. Expo) may process data on servers located in countries other than your own. By using the App, you understand that information may be transferred to and processed in such countries. ## Changes to This Policy We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Effective date" above. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy. ## Contact Us Questions or requests about this Privacy Policy or your data: - Email: codex-resets@icodesign.me
