# Sikt: photo cleanup | Support

Sikt helps you clean your camera roll by swiping through photos and videos one at a time. Everything happens on your iPhone.

## How It Works

- **Swipe right** to keep a photo
- **Swipe left** to put it in the Bin
- **Undo** brings back the last swipe

Nothing is deleted straight away. Review the Bin, take back anything you changed your mind about, then confirm. iOS shows its own deletion prompt before anything is removed.

## What's Inside

- **Decks**: Today, On This Day, Months and Random Roulette. Photos you keep stay out of your decks; only Roulette brings old favorites back after a while.
- **Similar shots** stack into one pile: open the film strip and keep the best one.
- **Quick edit**: tap the wand to fix light, color and framing, or adjust it yourself. File any photo into an album straight from the deck.
- **Cleanup tools**: Duplicates, Similar Videos, Large Videos, Bad Shots, Screen Captures, Receipts & Text, Live Photos and RAW + JPEG Pairs.
- **Shrink**: convert a large photo or video to HEIC or HEVC. Sikt shows the real before and after size and keeps the date, place, favorite and albums.
- **Organize** and **Phone Health**: see which piles and categories take the most space.
- **Widget and reminders**: a Home Screen widget with today's count, the Bin and the space you've freed, plus optional reminders, at most one a day.

## Frequently Asked Questions

**Are my photos deleted when I swipe left?**
No. They go to the Bin first. You confirm the deletion yourself, and iOS asks you once more.

**I deleted photos but my storage didn't go down.**
iOS moves deleted photos and videos to the "Recently Deleted" album in the Photos app and keeps them there for 30 days. The space comes back when that album is emptied: Photos → Albums → Recently Deleted → Select → Delete All.

**I deleted a photo by mistake.**
Open Photos → Albums → Recently Deleted and tap Recover. This works for 30 days.

**What happens to the original when I Shrink?**
Sikt saves the smaller copy to your library and removes the original in the same step, after the iOS deletion prompt. The original stays in Recently Deleted for 30 days.

**Why does Shrink or a video take a while to load?**
If your library uses iCloud Photos with "Optimize iPhone Storage", the full original first has to download from iCloud.

**Does Sikt upload my photos?**
No. Sikt has no servers, accounts, analytics or tracking. The only network use is Apple's own: iCloud Photos downloads through PhotoKit and App Store purchases. See the [Privacy Policy](PRIVACY.md).

**Is Sikt free?**
Yes, every feature. You can leave an optional tip (a fika) or become a Fika buddy, an auto-renewing monthly or yearly tip. Neither unlocks anything; they just support the developer.

**How do I cancel Fika buddy?**
Open the Settings app → tap your name → Subscriptions → Sikt → Cancel Subscription. You can also tap Manage in Sikt → Settings → Buy me a fika. Cancelling stops future renewals; the current period stays active until it ends.

**How do I get a refund?**
Purchases are handled by Apple. Request a refund at [reportaproblem.apple.com](https://reportaproblem.apple.com).

**My tip or subscription doesn't show up.**
In Sikt, open Settings → Buy me a fika → Restore Purchases.

**What permissions does Sikt need?**
Access to your photo library: read access to show your photos, write access to delete, shrink, edit and file the ones you choose. Notifications are optional.
