Caesarea, Fourth to mid-seventh century CE. Block. Malediction.
Curved building block with a thickly plastered inner face. The back, outer face is very irregular, and all edges are badly battered. Much of the plaster on the right side had broken off before the stone was found, so the ends of the two lines were lost. Since discovery, more plaster and more letters have disappeared
The letters were scratched with a sharp point and are shallow and crude. Alphas have broken bars and some strokes overlap
Found amid debris of a Late Antique structure collapsed over Street W1.
