Θάρσι, οὐδίς ἀθάνατος

Courage, no one is immortal

Θάρσι, οὐδίς ἀθάνατος

The upper part of the tombstone has been lost. The upper part of the stone is vertically chisel dressed, while the lower part is roughly picked. The engraved letters have traces of red filling. Formulae are common, and seem to suggest (in this group of tombstones) a pre-Christian date in the early 400s CE. The 14th of Dystros corresponds to the 28th of February.
