Aulos(?) Ulpios Aurelius(?), a veteran of legion III Cyrenaica, having made a vow to Zeus Bel, dedicated (this).

The inscription (a cornerstone?) seems to be complete. Though there may be a preceding line or lines, no partial letters appear on the right and left edges of the stone. The placement of the three letters in line 5 suggest a centering by the stonecutter. A date in the second or third century seems likely for this inscription, as legion III Cyrenaica was in Syria/North Arabia throughout the third century, and for some time prior to that.
