Apollonius

The ostrakon is dated to the third century according to paleaography. Same name appears on Mare 0032. The Greek name Ἀπολλώνιος was also used by jews (cf. e.g. Apollonios, son of Alexander, who was part of a Jewish delegation to Rome in 132 BCE). A variant orthography, אפלניס or אפלנס is documented in three papyri from Elephantine.
