Galilee. Sepphoris. 400-500 CE. Synagogue. Black and white floor mosaic. Dedication.

Inscription is framed by a wreath, the upper part of the medallion enclosed in the wreath is missing, only three lines of text have survived, each broken on the right side; two can be resotred with certainty, thereby enabling us to determine the width of the entire inscription and the number of missing letters. This is also confirmed by a mosaic fragment immediately to its right, in which the pattern of the wreath is visible. 400-500 CE Galilee Sepphoris

Sepphoris, found in the synagogue.
