The stone which divides the lands of the villages of Galania and Rama.
Stone tapers towards the bottom. Rough workmanship. The word ὅρια was left out and then added in smaller letters. One of many such stones found in the area, which were erected, for taxation purposes, during the survey and registration of lands under Diocletian's rule. The augusti and caesars mentioned in the group date them. They seem to have been erected at close intervals, with some containing complete information, and others (like this one) containing abridged versions. The first place name appears elsewhere in the group and may refer to nearby Roman-Byzantine sites Khirbet es-Seykh Muhammed or Khirbet et-Samman. The second may correspond to Hebrew רמה, or it may be a shortened version of the name Μιγηραμη, which appears together with Γαλανιας on two other stones. Capital letter omegas on the stone are written as large lowercase omegas.
