The mappings reflect industry member knowledge about how these process types are treated within a particular recipe modeling environment. In this file, CellLineDevelopment is treated at the RecipeProcess level; CaptureStep, CloneSelectionProcess, DiafiltrationProcess, DrugProductFormulationProcess, HarvestingProcess, PolishingProcess, ProductionCultureProcess, SeedTrain, and ViralClearance are treated at the RecipeProcessStage level; and CellBanking, CentrifugationProcess, ChromatographyProcess, DilutionProcess, FiltrationProcess, PoolingProcess, and ThawingProcess are treated at the RecipeProcessOperation level. The ontology illustrates how recipe process element occurrence-based utility classification classes can be used to make the applicable PSOA level visible in the inferred hierarchy. These mappings are application-level semantic commitments rather than global definitions of the planned process classes. Although informed by a general-recipe perspective, no general recipe is implemented in this file. The example focuses on class-level typing as one possible application pattern, with additional examples planned for individual-level typing and recipe-based class extensions. Guidance on the use of recipe process element occurrence-based utility classes is also being prepared to support consistent application and interpretation of this pattern.
