Pure-QR – Privacy Policy

Pure-QR is committed to protecting your privacy. This app is designed to operate 100% offline and does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data.

1. No Data Collection
   Pure-QR does not collect, store, share, or process any personal information.
   The app does not use:
   - Tracking technologies
   - Advertising SDKs
   - External servers or cloud services
   
   All QR code generation and scanning happens locally on your device.

2. No Internet Access
   Pure-QR does not request or use internet permissions.
   The app cannot send or receive data over the network.
   The app includes a link to the Pure-QR website. Tapping it opens your default browser as a separate app — Pure-QR itself does not make any network requests or transmit any data.

3. Camera Access
   When you use the Scanner feature:
   - The app requests permission to use your device's camera.
   - The camera is used solely to scan and decode QR codes and barcodes in real-time.
   - Processing is performed locally on your device using the Google ML Kit library.
   - Pure-QR does NOT capture, store, or transmit any images, videos, or scanned data to any external servers.
   - The camera is only active while the Scanner screen is open.

4. Payload Inspection
   Pure-QR includes a Payload Inspector feature designed to increase transparency:
   - When a code is scanned, you can view the raw text payload.
   - The app automatically identifies common tracking parameters (e.g., UTM sources, affiliate IDs) to alert you to potential tracking by the entity that created the code.
   - This analysis is performed 100% locally on your device.
   - The scanned payload data is never transmitted or shared.

5. System Integration & Sharing
   - You can share text or links from other apps to Pure-QR to generate codes.
   - This interaction is handled locally via the Android intent system.
   - Pure-QR does not track which apps share data with it.

6. Contact Access (Optional)
   If you choose to import a contact to generate a vCard QR code:
   - The app uses the system contact picker.
   - You select the contact manually.
   - Pure-QR receives temporary access only to the chosen contact.
   - The data is used solely to generate a QR code.
   - The data is not stored, not uploaded, and not shared.
   
   Pure-QR never accesses your full contact list.

7. File Access
   When saving PNG or PDF files:
   - Files are stored locally on your device in the Pictures or Documents folders.
   - Pure-QR does not access any other files on your device.
   - No file data is transmitted or collected.

8. Children’s Privacy
   Pure-QR does not collect any data from users of any age, including children.

9. Changes to This Policy
   If this privacy policy is updated, the new version will be posted in the app or the repository.
