Lock vault Logout and exit Help Create vault Welcome! If you are new on ANOTHERpass it is worth to read the online help. Or just start by creating a new vault. Import vault Import an existing vault, if you already have a vault file exported from another ANOTHERpass app. First you need to generate the master password. This is used to login into your vault. You don\'t need to remember this! Later you will have the chance to export it. Next Create Vault 1/3 Create a PIN or a short password used to unlock your vault. It may contain characters, digits and other chars. In comparison to a master password it can be shorter and is therefore easier to remember (minimum 6 characters). Memorize it well, don\'t note it somewhere! Enter a PIN Repeat the PIN Create Vault 2/3 A PIN is required PIN is too short (6 chars at least) PIN repetition not equal Password repetition not equal Wrong PIN Create vault Here you see again your master password. Export it as QR code or NFC tag by clicking on the corresponding icon or note it on a safe piece of paper. (If you decide to export as QR code you can either download it as image file of just photograph or copy the QR code directly from your phone.) Store it safely. You will need it together with your PIN to login into the vault. \nFor more convenience you may additionally store it on this device for faster login (biometric criteria may be needed). Copy protection for NFC-Master Password Token New ability to make copied NFC tags containing MPTs useless for the copier. Change existing vault encryption Now you can change the vaults encryption algorithm afterwards to use new modern ciphers. Optimize random generator Add your own real-world-entropy to the internal random generator to achieve more randomness. Show intro Another way to manage passwords ANOTHERpass is another approach of a password manager. See what it means: ANOTHERpass generates easy but strong passwords for you. It uses so called \'Pseudo Phrases\' by default which looks like real words but are still very random and unpredictable. See this random example (click on it to re-generate): Clever two-factor login There are two factors to login into your vault. One factor is what you know (knowledge) and the other is what you own (ownership): The PIN and the Master Password. The PIN is chosen by you and you should memorize it well (knowledge). The master password is generated by the app and is therefore strong. You should own it like a real physic key (see next slide). Master password is like a real physic key You don\'t need to remember a complicated master password. It is generated by the app. You only need to export it! Additionally (but not only!) you can store it on the device. Export it as QR code. Print it on a piece of paper e.g. with a copier. If your device supports NFC buy a NFC tag (around 3€) and export it on that. Alternatively just note it manually on a paper. In addition to the above options you can store it on your device using biometrics (if supported) for convenience login. ANOTHERpass is secure ANOTHERpass avoids typical security pitfalls. Copy passwords to clipboard is disabled by default. This might be a security vulnerability since other apps have full access to it. No internet connection at any time, except you share data remotely. Strong encryption of ALL sensitive vault data with at least 128 bit keys. ANOTHERpass uses a security chip if present for secure keys. %1$d of %2$d credentials to be imported %1$d of %2$d credentials to be re-created %1$d of %2$d credentials to be replaced %1$d of %2$d labels to be re-created %1$d of %2$d labels to be replaced %1$s (orig) %1$s (copied) Nothing to import Nothing has been changed Make a copy of the origin record before updating it.
