# Quick Start

This page covers the steps from a fresh checkout to a working Reclaimerr
instance.

## Runtime Options

- **Docker** is the production deployment path.
- **Desktop** is a packaged local app.
- **Source** is for development and troubleshooting.

## Setup Steps

1. Install Reclaimerr using one of the guides in this section.
2. Connect at least one media server.
3. Set one server as the main server when multiple servers are configured.
4. Confirm your libraries sync correctly.
5. Review the task schedule before enabling deletion.

## Before Enabling Deletion

- Protection and pending requests are respected automatically.
- Automatic cleanup deletion is disabled until you explicitly opt in.
- The `Delete Cleanup Candidates` task still needs to be enabled separately in
  the Tasks page.
