Organization of Sustainable Environmental Protection (OSEP) is a dynamic and flexible community based organization with a local focus and global vision in environmental conservation and protection.The organization was set up to increase the consciousness and knowledge about the environment and major environmental problems facing mother Earth.OSEP has been engaged in environmental protection and conservation activities such as restoration of degraded lands,resource sustainability,reforestoration and greening of community facilities.
To recreate a society that conserves and protects its environment and appreciates the value of its resources endowments towards sustainable living style.
✔ Incorporating GIS technology in providing spatial and temporal data necessary for effecting environmental conservation and protection
✔ Advocating for sustainable methods of sand mining along the rivers and flood plains.
✔ Being an agent of change towards environmental destruction and leading conservations against unsustainable sand mining
✔ Involving the local people in environmental conservation activities such as land rehabilitation and protection practices, tree planting and climate change mitigation
✔ Engaging in agribusiness activities geared towards empowering youths such as poultry keeping.
✔ Engaging the youths in skill development initiatives geared towards sustainable agriculture.
✔ Being an agent of change towards human health and creating health awareness
Basil has interest in environmental conservation,resource sustainability,climate change mitigation and adaptation.
Antony has interest in Urban Region Planning and applied Geographic Information Systems in solving planning problems.
We are all different but we share common interest in taking care of the environment.That is what has brought us together to combine our efforts from different professional backgrounds to spearhead environmental change.We are not just a team,we are a family.
