Small-company operators claim "we can't innovate without resources." Both are excuses. Innovation is a daily choice each operator makes; constraints are the forcing function for it, not the obstacle to it. ## Mechanism Company size and resources affect the *kind* of innovation feasible, not the *capacity* for it. Small companies innovate via speed and concentration; large companies innovate via leverage and distribution. Both are choices about how to spend the day.
