Top and average reps differ primarily in the *types of questions they ask*, not in closing ability, presentation skills, or relationship-building. The question type (especially Implication and Need-Payoff) drives need development, which drives large-sale outcomes. Closing, presenting, and rapport-building are table stakes; they don't differentiate. ## Mechanism Most sales-training programs invest in the wrong stage.
