# Commercial use — Aftercare

Aftercare is licensed under the **Functional Source License (FSL-1.1-ALv2)**.
Plain-language guide (not a substitute for `LICENSE.md`):

Building client sites is the intended use. You keep ownership of your themes and content.

## Requires a paid commercial license

If you are unsure whether your product is competing, email before you ship.

## How to get a commercial grant

Email **saagarkarpe@gmail.com** with:

1. Company / product name  
2. What you plan to offer (1–2 paragraphs)  
3. Expected launch date  
4. Rough scale (users, seats, or revenue band is fine)

You will receive pricing and a short written grant. Until that grant is issued, Competing Uses under FSL are not permitted.

## Open-source themes and plugins

You may publish Aftercare themes and plugins under any OSI license (or your own terms) without a commercial grant, as long as you are not packaging a Competing Use of the Aftercare framework itself.

## Trademarks

“Aftercare” name and branding remain with the licensor. Do not imply endorsement or an official hosted product without written permission.
