# JTBD Interview

Reframe research from "what features?" to "what job is the user hiring my product to do?"

## Switch Interview 4-stage timeline
1. **First Thought** — "Take me back to when you first realized you needed something like this. What was happening?"
2. **The Trigger** — "What pushed you from thinking about it to actively looking?"
3. **The Search** — "Walk me through what you tried. What did you compare? What annoyed you about each?"
4. **The Decision** — "What made you choose what you chose? What almost stopped you?"

## Output: job story
*"When [situation], I want to [motivation], so I can [expected outcome]."*

This sentence becomes North Star — every feature gets gut-checked against it.
