--- name: sharpen description: "Sharpen a task before starting with an expert approach, the user's outcome, and the right level of specification. Use for /skill:sharpen." disable-model-invocation: true --- Read [the Pi integration contract](../../../pi/references/integration.md) before executing this skill. # Sharpen Before starting, ask how a top expert would approach this task. Consider their raw sources, real methods, and an outside check that the result is right. Identify what the user is really after and whether the task is over- or underspecified. Leave choices that belong to the user open instead of deciding them. Reconsider your own assumptions and unnecessary self-imposed constraints, not the user's restrictions. Loosening a user restriction, widening scope, or changing an approved method needs explicit approval. The integration contract and task limits take precedence. Direct invocation does not enable mode or authorize workers, goals, installs, publication, or other side effects. Fold in only what makes the work better, not bigger. Keep one outside check that the result is right, within the available tools and authorized scope. If that check is unavailable, report the gap rather than inventing proof. Do the authorized work without narrating the framing. Don't hand back a rewritten prompt.
