Couple Budget is an independent personal finance application designed to help households — couples, families, or shared living groups — manage their shared budgets, track expenses, and plan finances together.

### 2.1 Account Information
When you sign in with Google, we receive:
- Your Google account email address
- Your display name
- Your profile photo URL (if available)

We do **not** receive your Google password or access to any other Google services beyond authentication.

### 2.2 Financial Data You Enter
All financial data is entered voluntarily by you, including:
- Transaction records (amounts, categories, dates, notes)
- Account balances and account names
- Budget settings and category configurations
- Annual payment reminders
- Shopping / to-buy lists
- Travel trip expenses and settlements

### 2.3 Device Information
We may collect minimal technical information for app functionality:
- Device type and iOS version (for crash diagnostics via Firebase)
- App usage analytics (if enabled in Firebase — currently disabled)

- All data is stored securely on **Google Firebase / Cloud Firestore** infrastructure, hosted in the United States.
- Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest by Firebase's default security.
- Access to your household's data is restricted by Firestore Security Rules — only authenticated members of your household can read or write your data.
- We do not store your financial data on our own servers.

## 5. Data Sharing

We do **not** sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties, except:

- **Google Firebase / Firestore** — for data storage and authentication (Google's Privacy Policy applies: https://policies.google.com/privacy)
- **Apple Push Notification Service (APNs)** — for delivering push notifications to your device, if you grant permission
- **Legal requirements** — if required by applicable law or legal process

## 6. Household Data Sharing

Couple Budget is designed for shared use within a household. When you join a household group:
- Other members of your household can see the financial data entered into that shared household.
- You are responsible for only sharing household access with people you trust.
- The App owner (household creator) controls who has access.

- Your data remains stored as long as your account is active.
- If you wish to delete your data, please contact us at **kingsley25siug@gmail.com** and we will delete your account and associated data within 30 days.
- You may also delete individual transactions, accounts, and records directly within the App at any time.

Couple Budget is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

- **Correct** inaccurate data
- **Delete** your data (right to erasure)
