🔻 💰General Motors will adjust the price of the Chevrolet Bolt to $26.5K to win the affordability game. The new price is 27% lower than the 2020 model and nearly $1k below the Nissan Leaf.
👍 👍Nissan launched a cost-cutting restructuring plan two years ago and is beginning to reap the rewards. May 2022 marked the company's first fiscal-year profit in three years. The company's North American presence is a big contributor to the turnaround.
🛻 😅Ford is celebrating a 4.5% drop in sales for May. Why, you may ask? Because the rest of the industry is down around 30%. Experts point to Ford's pickup and SUV offerings as consistently wanted by customers and therefore helping to keep sales stable.
🌎 🛠Mercedes-Benz announced a massive million-car recall due to a possible problem with the brake booster system. ML, GL, and R-Class vehicles from 2004 to 2015 are affected. The recall will have a worldwide impact.

Multiple automakers now receive enough previously limited high-tech components to hit full production capacity. Mercedes Benz and BMW are among the OEMs feeling relief. While this return to stability comes ahead of projections, automakers are not calling the shortage over yet as only time will tell if the trajectory continues upward.

May The Fort Be With You
A collaboration between Epic Games and Disney added Star Wars content to the newest season of Fortnite. A combination of in-game purchases and gameplay-play-based unlocks will give players access to play as Darth Vader in addition to other Star Wars-themed swag.
Epic indeed. The game maker has also entered a collaboration with Volvo. The partnership will bring “state-of-the-art” rendering to the in-car display (like video game graphics on your collision detection screen). Volvo’s upcoming WV will feature the technology and is expected for release later this year.
