The Auxiliary Files tab is used to load auxiliary files to a filter, for example custom database drivers. This makes the file available to the filter immediately, without requiring a Rhapsody restart.
Alternatively, the auxiliary file can be placed in the <Rhapsody>/data/lib
folder (for example, C:\Program Files\Rhapsody\Rhapsody Engine 6\data\lib
) to make it available to all communication points and filters. A Rhapsody restart is required for the component to load the new file.
The Auxiliary Files tab also indicates whether the local version of an auxiliary file is the same, newer or older as compared the engine version, or if either version has been deleted or moved and cannot be found.
You can perform the following actions on auxiliary files (including via the right-click menu):
Action | Description |
---|---|
Download | Update the selected auxiliary file in the engine to match the local version. |
Add | Select a local auxiliary file and adds it to the engine. A restart is required for Rhapsody to load the new file. |
Delete | Delete the selected auxiliary file. |
Open | Open the selected auxiliary file. |
