They pull in Google Play services' play-services-basement and play-services-tasks, under the Android Software Development Kit License (https://developer.android.com/studio/terms). - Some decoders and layouts follow the community decompilations of the games (pret's pokered / pokeyellow / pokegold / pokecrystal / pokefirered / pokeemerald / pokeruby / pokeplatinum / pokeheartgold, pokeemerald-expansion and Rangi42's polishedcrystal), which publish no license of their own: the Gen 1 picture decompressor, the Gen 2 LZ decompressor (with Polished Crystal's variant and its text compression), expansion's "smol" decompressor, the DS games' text, archive and picture decoding and the trainer card's layout are re-implemented from them in Kotlin. GAMES AND TRADEMARKS Pokemon and all related names are trademarks of Nintendo, Game Freak, Creatures and The Pokemon Company. Game Boy, Game Boy Color, Game Boy Advance and Nintendo DS are trademarks of Nintendo. AYN, Retroid, Anbernic and other device names belong to their makers. ScreenScraper, RetroAchievements and SteamGridDB are separate services. PokeDaisy is not affiliated with or endorsed by any of them. ROM hacks belong to their creators. No ROMs, BIOS files, saves or game graphics are included: players supply their own legally dumped ROMs, and the pictures and descriptive text the companion shows are read from the player's ROM while it runs. To recognise and label what it reads, the app carries reference data about the supported games: names of Pokemon, moves, items, types and places, numeric tables (stats, type matchups, map layouts, memory addresses) and checksums of ROM data, extracted from the games, the ROM hacks and the decompilation projects for interoperability. The unit tests' fixtures (app/src/test/resources/fixtures) are snapshots of the emulated console's RAM while a game ran; like any RAM dump they hold a few kilobytes the game copied there from its ROM. They aren't in the app.
