--- name: ai-visibility description: Measure brand mentions, citations, competitors, and answer gaps across a fixed, versioned prompt/query panel over time. --- # AI Visibility AI answers are variable. Treat visibility measurement as a repeated panel, not a universal ranking. ## Build the panel 1. Choose high-value questions from customer research and buying journeys: category, problem, comparison, alternatives, implementation, and branded queries. 2. Freeze a versioned prompt/query panel for trend comparison. Record language, region when relevant, platform/model or search surface, and date. 3. Define named competitors and owned domains before measurement. ## Record separately - brand mentioned: yes/no; - owned domain cited or linked: yes/no; - third-party page mentioning the brand cited: yes/no; - competitor mentioned/cited; - answer position or prominence only when the surface makes it meaningfully observable; - answer gap: which question is owned by another source and why that source may be more useful or credible. ## Interpretation Do not call a one-time answer a ranking. Do not compare runs if the prompt panel changed without versioning. Separate mention from citation and visibility from referral traffic or conversion. Use trends and repeated gaps to decide content, authority, or distribution work. ## Output Return panel version, observations, competitor share within that panel, citation gaps, source/page opportunities, limitations, and next measurement date.
