--- name: channel-selection description: Choose a small channel portfolio based on audience behavior, product demonstration fit, intent, economics, and existing evidence. --- # Channel Selection Channels are experiments, not obligations. ## Method 1. Define the audience, buying motion, product category, average value, sales cycle, geography/language, and content demonstration fit. 2. Evaluate candidate channels on audience presence, intent quality, product-channel fit, ability to demonstrate value, distribution cost, feedback speed, measurement quality, and operational constraints. 3. Prefer channels that can connect to a relevant landing page and measurable activation event. 4. For developer products, consider search/docs, GitHub, technical communities, demos, directories, and launch surfaces before assuming short-form social. 5. For visual consumer products, consider short video and creator surfaces when the product can be demonstrated clearly. 6. For higher-value B2B, consider search/GEO, founder-led content, LinkedIn, case studies, email, webinars, partnerships, and selective outbound. 7. Select a small portfolio: one or two primary acquisition channels plus supporting distribution. Define a stop condition before scaling. 8. Do not automate community participation in ways that violate platform rules or degrade trust. ## Output Return selected channels, rejected channels and reasons, channel hypothesis, required assets/tools, budget or time allocation, success metric, and stop/review rule.
