# SKILL.md — dsh-taskboard-flow companion Agent-facing reference for the **taskboard-flow** DSH plugin — the companion plugin to dsh-taskboard (the DSH task kanban): taskboard-flow watches the taskboard ledger and automates the flow, and this skill teaches your sessions how to work inside that flow. Load it when you are a session on a board wired by taskboard-flow, or when a user asks you to use `session_message` or `taskboard_done`. > [!WARNING] > `session_message` — provided by the dsh-taskboard-flow companion plugin to > dsh-taskboard — reaches ANY session on the dsh instance: sessions on your > dsh-taskboard boards, idle sessions, or sessions actively running any > agent model, and it delivers visibly even mid-turn. Posts the comment, then performs the done move. Kill-switch: `contacts.enabled: false`. - Names: lowercase `[a-z0-9._-]`, ≤64 chars. ## Messaging etiquette Cross-session messages interrupt people. Keep them rare and complete: 1. **One message per interaction.** Don't fan out the same message to several sessions; don't ping repeatedly while waiting. 2. **Say what you need and how to reply.** e.g. "…reply to session `` via session_message, then stop." 3. **Tell the target to stop after replying** unless it has queued work — a woken session that idles silently wastes nothing; one that keeps steering back interrupts you. 4. **Check `list` first** if you're unsure a target exists or is alive. 5. **Respect `delivery`.** `context+wake-steer` means the target may not act until its next user input (main GUI sessions only start turns on user input). `context+notice` means the target is mid-turn; expect a reply in its current or next turn, not instantly. ## Board hygiene law - **NEVER `taskboard_delete` a card that contains work.** Finished work hands off `in_review`; the creator (or the user) closes it. Soft-deleted cards vanish from the main board and read as "lost" — the secondary trash tab is the only place they remain. Delete is for true junk only, on the user's explicit instruction. - Cleanup / workspace-hygiene sessions must not touch board cards unless their own card explicitly orders it. The janitor protocol governs FILES, not board cards. ## Receiving ends When a `[session-message] From session :` line appears in your runtime context or a wake lands in your conversation: read the payload, do what it asks (usually: reply via `session_message` to the sender id), then stop. Messages expire from runtime context after 30 minutes — act on them in the turn where they appear. ## Config quick reference All wiring lives in the package's `cordis.patch.yml` (created from `cordis.patch.yml.example`; gitignored). Knobs that matter to agents: - `sessionMessage.enabled` — master kill-switch for `session_message`. - Column `dshCallback` — how wakes reach sessions (`target: creator`, `mode`: `wake`/`notify`/`context`, `resumeIfDead`, `telegramFallback`). - `columns.backlog.skipSpawnPrefixes` (e.g. `[ASK]`) — titles with this prefix are never decomposed; they wake the callback target instead. - `projects..orchestratorSession` — target of `@orchestrator` comment escalation. - Concurrency: `maxConcurrent` (global) < project < `executeMaxConcurrent` (column). ## Troubleshooting - `session_message` not in your tool list → the plugin isn't enabled for the deployment, or `sessionMessage.enabled: false` in its config. - `duplicate entry for taskboard-flow` at dsh startup → the package ships its own cordis patch; someone also added an insert row to the profile patch. Remove the row. - Wake arrived but no turn started → normal for idle GUI sessions; the agent reads it at the next user input. Use `resumeIfDead: true` if the target is actually dead.
