Traditional pub serving three local cornish ales, always one from each of the main breweries St Austell, Sharps & Skinners and showcasing a different guest ale on the fourth pump. The pub serves proper homemade traditional food that compliments the ales and using many of the ales within the cooking. Beer battered Fish & Chips and Steak & Cornish Ale Pie. Also the best selection of bar snacks in the town. Not to be missed. The beer is very well kept by Landlord Matt Clough who is a dab hand at keeping a good pint as his other business is cellar management around other pubs, hotels and bars in Cornwall. Matt hope to start his own micro brewery in the near future. Guest ales so far have included Spitfire, Adnam broadside, London Pride, Abbot Ale, Deuchars IPA, Otter, Pedigree & Heligan Honey.
