A pub in the village of Cartmell at the back of the village square.The pub offers b/b and as a resturant.The pub used to have a micro brewery and brewed a bitter called Buttermere which i liked but i think it was moved to be brewed elswhere and i have not seen it since the Tlate eighties.The pub has guest beers but badly lacks atmosphere.
