I only heard about the opening of the new middle bar 'Bier keller' when getting my new copy of the Good Beer Guide 2009 so decided that I had to try it out. The Bier Keller was nice inside and had a good selection of Foreign beers both on tap and in bottle. They just have 1 cask beer in this bar at the moment which is Osset Silver King. I had a pint of Erdinger (the dark one) before we went upstairs. I was suprised to see that the number of hand pumps from what I remember to be around 8 to 11! This is one of my favorite pubs.

ossett pale gold & ossett silver king on also broadoak perry & moles black rat cider both on hand pull friendly atmosphere nice bar staff with a knack of pulling a good pint you rarely see any more good mix of ages and tremendous choice in beer my fave was the porter with atomic not far behind fernandes beers brewed on site and each had its own unique flavour. well worth a visit can not fault the pub other than too many fantastic beers so you may have to limit your self to half of each.

I tried all that are listed except the Roosters. The White Monk was probable the best brew.
