This was the first pub owned by Moorhouses Brewery,and was a converted betting shop.The pub is used as the brewery tap and i have visited it many times on brewery visits.A full choice of Moorhouses cask beers are on sale and the brewery seems to be going from strength to strength as their brews are now very popular in the north west.

The first pub opened by Moorhouses,it is across the road from the brewery which is now quite large.The pub is the brewery tap and we always stop here after our trip round the brewery.The beers were in top condition and we sampled them all.
