We visited the pub at 12.30 on friday lunch.The pub is one of the larger Witherspoons and had more than ten cask beers on sale.There must have been at least thirty people waiting to be served,but there was only one person behind the bar.These pubs seem to give a poorer service each visit as their prices keep going up. We did not wait to be served, but went up the road to The Black Horse, which was busy,but we soon got served and spent a pleasant hour there.
