The Grove is situated about 5 minutes walk from the train station. There is usually a good selection of ales and some kind of live music on most nights. The opening times are mon-sat 12pm-11pm, sun 12pm-10.30pm. Below is a list of whats on at the grove. Mondays:- Stormy Monday, 1st and 4th Mondays. Tuesdays:- Jam session,Every Tuesday. Wednesdays:-Unplugged Leeds,Every Wednesday. Thursdays:-Guest Artists,Check with publicity leaflets. Fridays:- Folk Club Night, Every Friday. Saturdays:- Guest Artists, Check with the publicity leaflets. Sundays:- Jazz Night, 2nd and 4th Sundays. Flamenco Night, 3rd Sunday. Sunday Afternoons:- Guest Artists,Check publicity leaflets for afternoon.

I had a pint of all 4 of the guests. Belgian Blue was quite a sweet tasting ale. Ale beers in top form as usual.

I had a nice pint of Nettlethrasher and also a Porter from the new East Coast brewery in Filey whos run by the same people who had Fernandes brewery in Wakefield.
