Claimed to be birth place of York's most famous historical characters - The Guy Fawkes has been extensively refurbished and was re-opened in May 2008. This hotel, now dubbed an 'Inn' has added an impressive array of cask ales which are served from a carved bar in the small front room. It has an 'olde worlde' feel, decorated in wood pannels and topped off with gas lighting. An impressive menu supports the ales, all being sourced localy and with quality at its focus.
